Position Summary 

The Project Management Associate plays a hybrid role supporting technical project coordination, executing internal business initiatives, and contributing to business development activities across RJ Lee Group’s consulting and laboratory services. This position works closely with senior technical staff to apply operational oversight, ensure timely delivery of client projects, verify that the format and appearance of work product meet Company standards, and manage timely communication among stakeholders. It is ideal for candidates with high acumen in organizational skills, an enthusiasm for learning new things, and a willingness to contribute to cross-functional project success. 

Key Responsibilities 

Project Coordination & Litigation Support 

  • Demonstrate ability to execute Technical Lead directions reliably and independently according to Company procedures and Technical Consulting business practices 

  • Under the direction of senior technical staff, coordinate technical projects from proposal through reporting, ensuring alignment with client expectations, deadlines, and budget. 

  • Track project milestones, deliverables, and budgets using project management tools. 

  • Review and summarize documents in support of Technical Lead 

  • Serve in a support role to facilitate technical discussions and updates between scientists, engineers, and clients. 

  • Support proposal development, client onboarding, and routine communications. 

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of technical documentation, reports, and presentations while ensuring deliverables meet RJ Lee Group quality standards for format and appearance. 

  • Work with the technical lead to identify and mitigate project risks and blockers. 

Administrative & Operational Support 

  • Manage incoming samples: receive, label, track, and archive. 

  • Tracking and filing litigation documents such as depositions, hearing transcripts and correspondence 

  • Coordinate invoicing and billing activities in collaboration with finance and project teams. 

  • Maintain accurate records of sample status, client requests, and project timelines. 

Internal Project Management 

  • Under the direction of senior technical staff, execute on internal projects to support Company operations and business growth. 

  • Assist in the creation and execution of internal programs to facilitate professional growth for Technical Consulting staff at all levels of seniority. 

  • Support business development and marketing activities to expand Company business to new clients and new markets. 

  • Identify opportunities for operational improvement and potential applications of Artificial Intelligence to improve efficiency and effectiveness 

Mentorship & Growth 

  • Receive mentorship from Program Managers and senior technical staff to expand business knowledge 

  • Participate in training programs and cross-departmental initiatives. 

  • Document learning milestones and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree with the ability to articulate why that field is applicable to position 

  •  2–5 years of experience in project coordination, technical support, or laboratory roles are preferred. 

  • Strong organizational and communication skills 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software is a must. 

  • Experience in creating presentations or similar work product that appears professional, polished, and high quality. 

  • Attention to detail is essential for success in this position. 

Preferred Skills 

  • Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS). 

  • Exposure to client service or project coordination. 

  • A baseline knowledge of scientific/laboratory vocabulary (or a willingness to learn) will allow the candidate to quickly adapt to the position.  

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 

  • A spirit of curiosity and enthusiasm is highly valued in this position.
