RJ Lee Group, Inc. is currently seeking a Laboratory Analyst I or II with ICP-AES or ICP-MS experience to support the analytical functions of our Inorganic Chemistry  Group.

Job Responsibilities: The Analyst will be involved in every aspect of operation of the inorganic chemistry department including but not limited to sample preparation, sample analysis, method development, data quality review and reporting, training personnel, maintaining instrumentation, etc.  Major responsibilities will include the operation of the ICP-AES for analysis of a variety of digested samples and matrices such as minerals and raw products, environmental and industrial hygiene samples, and other complex matrices etc.

Qualifications and Requirements: 

  • BS degree in Chemistry or related field
  •  At least one year experience with operating an ICP-AES or ICP-MS with the ability to review, analyze and interpret relevant analysis data and provide complete data packages. Please indicate on the application how the experience was acquired.
  • Experience with extraction techniques
  • Experience with EPA, OSHA, NIOSH, ASTM, USP/NP, FCC preparation and analysis method and protocols
  • Strong MS Office applications experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Must have good organizational skills and ability to efficiently perform multiple tasks
  • Working experience with instruments will be a plus
  • Three to five years of experience working at a commercial laboratory using different characterization techniques will be preferable but not required
  • The position could require working after normal business hours
