Forensics Internship
Position Summary
The Forensic Science Internship at RJ Lee Group offers hands-on experience supporting active criminal forensics research projects within our nationally recognized criminal forensics laboratory. Interns work closely with our scientists and technical staff, contributing to ongoing research with a focus on primer gunshot residue (pGSR) analysis and related forensic methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
Assist forensic scientists in research related to gunshot residue, including sample preparation, particle analysis, and data organization.
Conduct literature reviews and gather supporting scientific research under staff direction.
Help maintain laboratory documentation, records, and research logs in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Participate in basic laboratory tasks, including safe handling of samples, routine equipment upkeep, and proper documentation.
Support ongoing forensic projects assigned by team as needed.

Qualifications
Currently completing at least two years of college in a forensics oriented program, such as Forensic Science, Chemistry, Biology, Criminal Justice with forensic concentration, or a related scientific discipline.
Strong interest in forensic laboratory work and scientific research.
Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate records.
Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
Must be able to work onsite in the lab during the internship period.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Start Date: May or June
End Date: End of summer (flexible based on academic schedules)
