To support our growing client base in our Optical Department, we’re expanding our team! We’re seeking a laboratory analyst to assist in the analysis of bulk samples using polarized light microscopy (PLM). Candidates with experience in phase contrast microscopy (PCM) are also encouraged to apply.

Job Responsibilities: Preparing and analyzing samples using PLM and/or PCM in compliance with our Quality Assurance program. Collecting, documenting and reviewing data following standard operating procedures. Operates/maintains laboratory instrumentation and troubleshoots minor issues. Adheres to proper sample handling and laboratory safety procedures. 

Qualifications

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects to accommodate client needs
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively depending on project needs
  • Must have good communication, organizational and computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience with PLM, PCM or transmission electron microscopy (TEM)
  • A bachelors degree in a life science (geology, biology etc.) or adjacent field
